History
Initially on 3rd Day of June 1996 two courts were established at Panchkula. Sh.R.K.Kashyap joined as Civil Judge (Senior Division)-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Panchkula. Shri Y.S. Rathore joined as Civil Judge (Junior Division), Panchkula. Shri Darshan Singh first Addl. District & Sessions Judge at Panchkula joined on 07.03.2000. In the beginning these courts were a part of Ambala Sessions Division.
District Panchkula attained its identity as Separate Sessions Division on 09.05.2005 with Shri Arvind Goel (who retired as Judge of Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh), as its First District & Sessions Judge. Sh. Ved Parkash is currently posted as District & Sessions Judge, Panchkula.
Sh. Praveen Kumar Lal and Sh. Sunil Kumar-II are working as Additional District & Sessions Judges at Panchkula. Ms. Taranjit Kaur is working as Principal Judge Family Court. There are two exclusive CBI Courts, Haryana presided over by Sh. Rajeev Goyal, Special Judge, CBI and Sh. Anil Kumar Yadav, Special Judicial Magistrate, CBI .
Ms. Rekha is working as Civil Judge Senior Division and Ms. Aparna Bhardwaj is working as Chief Judicial Magistrate , One Court of Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) being presided over by Ms. Jyoti Sandhu . One exclusive Court for Negotiable and Instrument Act presided by Ms. Manmeet Kaur Ghuman respectively working at Panchkula. Sh. Ajay Kumar is working as Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Whole Time Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula.These courts are situated in Sector- 1, Panchkula.
District Bar Association, Panchkula has inherited all its traits, traditions and qualities from its parent Bar i.e. District Bar Association, Ambala which has produced many legal luminaries.
There are two Courts in Sub-Division Kalka one court of Addl. Civil Judge (Senior Division) being presided over by Sh. Upendra Singh and one court of Civil Judge (Junior Division) being presided over by Dr. Jitender Kumar.
